Glow Row

11 Jun 2015 by ANA Admin

Last Friday evening many excited student, rec, and racing members gathered at the shed to participate in the inaugural “Glow Row”. Coloured lights lined the river bank and glow sticks dripped from ears, necks and boats. There were even glow glasses to be worn.
The conditions were perfect and river was like a sheet of glass. After a 40 minute row much laughter and music could be heard from the boats as they returned to enjoy a BBQ sponsored by the club along with other food to share. Jess conducted the monthly Boat Handlers Course after dinner.
It was an amazing sight as the full moon rose over the horizon and reflected on the still water. It is hoped that a themed row will be incorporated into the monthly BBQ on the first Friday of each month. Watch out for more information.
